CellMAT - Cellular Materials 2018

The upcoming International Conference on Cellular Materials, CellMAT 2018, will be held from 24-26 October 2018 in Bad Staffelstein, Germany, a small city with mediaeval charm within the Francionian Switzerland; Franconia, a region famous for numerous microbreweries and dilly types of beer.

The activities in manufacture, application and R&D of cellular materials are steadily growing, and the community of researchers dealing with those types of materials constitutes a well-connected research field within the Materials Science and Technology field. The CellMAT conference series was developed in 2010 in order to bring together experts from the polymer, ceramic, glass and metal communities dealing with cellular matter. While in the years 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016 the CellMAT community became familar with the beautiful city of Dresden, Saxony, as the conference venue, we have now the heart to learn about another beautiful location within Germany.

The 5th CellMAT conference will cover topics like manufacturing, functionalizing, modification, joining, property analysis and modelling of cellular materials. Applications have been identified in those fields like energy efficiency, light weight construction, novel and efficient conversion concepts, and there is a growing interest in biomedical use, e.g. for bone repair.

Call for abstracts will coming soon, and we cordially invite you to join the CellMAT 2018 conference, to share your experience in cellular materials with your fellow colleagues and to enjoy the very beautiful and special location of Kloster Banz monastry in Bad Staffelstein, Frankonia/Bavaria.
